Kara

Kara Lewis, MT-BC (she/her) is a board certified music therapist with experience working with infants through older adults, all with varying diagnoses. Kara values inclusion, celebrating diversity, and a person centered approach in all that she does.

Kara received her degree in music therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester in 2017 and completed a six month internship at Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, NY. Since then, she has worked at a private practice in Jackson, MI where has led early childhood groups, individual music therapy sessions with clients of all ages, adult day programs, inclusive summer camps, worked in hospice, and more.

Kara recently moved to the Portage area due to her husband's job and is excited to meet more families in the area both in a professional capacity and as a mother in the community (Kara is the proud mom to her one year old daughter, Oli.)
